Willow is, without a doubt, the sweetest golden girl around, she truly loves everyone and wears her heart for all to enjoy.
I kept Willow here with me because she had a couple of physical issues and I wanted wanted to be sure they had completely corrected themselves before I let her go to a new home.
When these issues corrected themselves, as difficult as it was, I knew it was time to let her go.
Which is where my friends Beth & Verne Jarvis come in to play.
I asked Beth and Verne if they would be up for doggy sitting a couple of my goldens for me, while I was tending to Sara and her litter of pups.
They enthusiastically agreed.
I knew they were readying themselves to welcome a canine companion into their lives, so this would be a great opportunity to see where they were at in that process.
At the end of their doggy sitting duties, they told me they were ready for a dog and asked that they be considered for a golden of mine, should one become available.
When it was time to let Willow leave, I asked Beth and Verne if they would like to take Willow home with them to see if they would be a good fit.
Of course they would and of they were.
As a quirk of fate, it was Beth who came up with Willow's name when I put out please for help.
I will miss Willow's sweet presence in my life but know she could not be living with and in the care of anyone better or more deserving then Beth and Verne.
Going by the photos I have seen everyone seems pretty happy.
